Double Burner
This week, at the advisement of the mentors, I added an additional burner in shot 1. The second flame (right) is less intense with its movement than the left.
I also assisted Jake this week in the compositing for shot 1 with the fire. This is the Nuke tree I'm using:
I first adjusted the color and effect of the light from the fire. I used an exponential glow gizmo to add a bloom on the specular aov. I then color adjusted the fire and tweaked the exposure before adding the blue base with animated rotos, and a combination of glows that increased exposure and therefore the heat you feel. I didn't have Jake's heat distortion gizmo, so that was omitted from my version. Mine here also does not have his updated matte painting and color correction.
